After Mrs. Bennet knew that Mr. Collins had married Mrs. Lucas, she was too sock to accept the truth. First she thought he was tricked; secondly, she was sure the couple would never be happy together; thirdly, the engagement would be broke off. It took her a really long time to believe the story and the crucial truth that the house would belong to the Collins some time in the future. The letter written by Mr. Bingley made her even more upset. It said that they were all settled in London for the winter. Jane, who was always calm, couldn't hide her anxiety anymore but still very kind to every thing.
In this period I found an interesting way to use in sentence. I found these sentences:" A week passed before she could see Elizabeth without scolding her; a month passed before she could talk to Sir William and Lady Lucas politely and many months were gone before she could at all forgive their daughter." The author put the times at the beginning of the sentences to emphasize them. So it became a sentence as " A time before sb could do something." I would try to use this new sentence pattern in my article more one I have chance.

This time Lizz had a chance to visit her friend who had become Mrs.Collins at the Collins' place. There she visited Lady Catherine with the couple and ran into Mr. Darcy. Lady Catherine asked Lizz many questions about family during the dinner, and she also asked Lizz to play the piano for everybody.

From the story the reader can see how snobbish Lady Catherine was. The principles she used to judge a person were shallow as the background, the talent they have. This is because that she is self-contained and selfish.

This time I read the chapter about the girls' cousin, Mr. Collins, made Elizabeth an offer of marriage. Mr. Collins wanted to marry one of his cousins since he thought it is the best way to "compensate" the Bennets after he inherit all the property from Mr. Bennet. Although Mr. Collins had confidence on success, he was refused by Elizabeth. He was confused by the refusal, because in his opinions his job and the money he earns were alluring. However, he found another woman who was patient enough to live with him and made another proposal within a week. He decided to marry Elizabeth good friend, Miss Lucas.

In the story we can see how ridiculous Mr. Collins was. He was so proud and self-righteous that he could realize how rude and odd he was. That's why he could never understand how come Elizabeth rejected him.

I didn't read much in November because times seemed filled by exams and works. from this I understand how much I should work out on planning schedules.

1. The methods I am already using now are "Capture Insights" and "Chip away at big job". I write down my insights as the ingredients for Chinese writing. It works for me because the supporting ideas are handy for me to use in the article and I can feel less panic to finish a complete article in such a short time. Also, I find out that those detail things I have written down are usually the most unforgettable in my mind.
2. Since I realize there is no time for me to sit down and finish a work at the same time, I try to separate them in different parts. First, I will find out what kind of work can be stuck into the scrappy periods of time and can be interrupted as I wish. For example, I read my English novel once I have free time, and I review the vocabulary when I am tired of reading.
3. I am going to try "Tackle my tasks immediately". I always expect myself to hand in the homework in time or to finish work leisurely. However, every time I pull over the task to the next day, the next day…, and here comes the dead line!!! People can always fin a good excuse for themselves when they feel lazy. Therefore, it is the best way to face the hard task at once.
4. I will list out every task I have to do and compared their dead lines and work schedule. Then try to start with the most unpleasant or the hardest one. Once I finished a period in expectation, I will do one thing relatively easy to relax. To know the source of stress and conquer it is the only way to get rid of stress.
5. 3. About "Take charge of your mind", is there any specific way to control our mind?

While Elizabeth was pleased seeing the interaction between her older sister and Mr. Bingley, she did not realize that she had been admired by Mr. Darcy. Although Mr. Darcy refused to dance with Elizabeth, he later found how much she attracted him. However, he decided to hide his admiration. And the girls' cousin, Mr. Collins, who was the most loyal follower of Lady Catherine de Bourgh, had visited them. The ignorant man who would inherit the house after Mr. Bingley died was coming to chose from one of his cousins as his wife, because it is the best idea he could think of as compensation to the family. Someday after Mr. Collin had chosen Elizabeth as target, he walked with the girls to Meryton. There they made a new friend, Mr. Wickham, who seemed to have some secrets between Mr. Darcy and who was soon became close with Elizabeth.

As the story goes, we can see how much the stereo type affect people's thinking. The first impression of proud with Mr. Darcy leaves him no chance to get closer with Elizabeth. And the prejudice on Mr. Darcy makes Elizabeth easily believe in a totally stranger, Mr. Wickham, when he speaks ill about Mr. Darcy. The story so far reminds me how we usually judge a person [ we] just meet. Firstly we look his appearance, and than the manner. No matter how we all understand that the inside is much more important than the outside, the first impression is ironically the main reason for us to decide to know the person deeper or not.

Since I started reading a little bit late, I've only finished two chapters so far. In these two chapters I understood that Mrs. Bennet, the mother of the five girls, was a shallow woman whose biggest wish in life was seeing her daughters getting married. And that's why she was eager to visit their new neighbor, Mr. Bingley, a single man with a large fortune. Another interesting character was Mr. Bingley, the farther of the girls. He took a passive attitude toward her wife's stupidity and he also enjoyed teasing her as an entertainment in life. Elizabeth was Mr. Bennet's favorite daughter because her intelligence was different from her sisters who were silly and ignorant. These interesting and outstanding characteristics has led me into the story and made me want to know how the story would go on.
This is not the first time I read stories in English, but it's the first time I really get into the book and enjoy the story. I think it is important to find something I really interested in, so I will keep on reading instead of getting tired of it. Reading has been the weaker part of my English comprehensions; therefore, I suppose that reading novels in the level I can handle is the first step for improving my reading comprehension.
