Chandler wanted to ask Monica to marry him, and he planned to propose to Monica in a restaurant with champagne and good atmosphere. When all of things were getting ready, they met Richard who was her ex-boyfriend. Things changed so quickly, and Chandler had to give up this chance. He got a new plan that he pretended he didn't want to get married with Monica and gave her a surprise finally. Unfortunately, Richard told Monica that he still loved her, and wanted to have child with her in the mean time. After having a bad mood lunch with Chandler, she began to think about what Richard have had told to her. She went to meet Richard and said that she needed time to think things over. Just at this time, Joe told her the whole thing. When Chandler was worried about nowhere to find Monica, he opened his apartment's door, finding the room decorated with candles. In the end, Monica accepted his proposal. What a romantic story.

 

B.

My favorite character is Rachel. Because what she said always make me laugh and she is really pretty. She can solve many problems whatever situations she is in.

Phoebe is the character I like least. She usually say something that can't let me understand, and not aware of others mood and expressions.

 

C.

By listening and watching English subtitles together, it is good for me to improve my listening ability and enhance my vocabulary. If I only listen to what they said, it would be hard to understand. And after watch these episodes, I feel I develop a habit of watching English subtitles whenever I watch movies gradually.

After they had finished shores in the mermaid shed, they took a rest and were taken to meet the seals. Every seal lay by the water, except one sat quiet on a rock. Its name called Herbert, who has meet Fabio and Minette first day accidentally. When Herbert opened his eyes and looked at them, they felt he is an intelligent more than a seal. Aunt Myrtle seemed to know what they're thinking about. She nodded and said, "yes, he is a special kind of seal, called selkie". "Selkie are soul of drowned man and if someone sticks a knife in them, they will turn back to human. Herbert's mother brought him to the island many years ago, because he had a cough that wouldn't get better……." Myrtle told them the whole story about Herbert and his family.

Next day, Etta took them to the hill, on the top of there is an enormous big bird, called "boobrie". Their job is helping her lay eggs but those eggs seemed to be stuck inside of her. They dip rages into hot caster oil and handed them to her. When they were finding food for boobrie afternoon, they saw a strange creature appeared from water and slithered out of water. They rushed down the hills and ran into the house. They trembled and told aunts what they saw. Aunts explained to them that these creatures came from Iceland and are good friends.

Lambert is another boy kidnapped to the island, but he had a bad temper and refuse to doing work. One day, Fabio took Lambert's lunch into his room, threw food on land and told him "you're not getting something to eat until you work."

The story doesn't finish, and I will continue reading it although we don't have to write English Journal. The island in the story looks so fantastic that I want to travel to there if the island is exist. I also want to see these special creatures, and talk to them. Maybe one day these creatures will show on the "animal plant" channel.

   Aunt Etta and Coral successfully kidnapped children, Minette and Fabio. When Minette woke up, she found that she was in a strange room. She got frightened after noticed that she might get kidnapped. Suddenly, a noise came from the corner. She tiptoed to the corner, connecting to another room where a boy named Fabio lay on a camp bed. They all thought they were kidnapped to this island and began discussing how to escape from here. Noticing the door was unlocked, they left the room, and run out of the house.

   Because of wanting to know where they were, they climbed to the top of the hill. The scene was beautiful, and the wind is soft that no one could image the dangerous. And then the two ants appeared. They glared at children who were terrified. Surprising, the ants told them to eat breakfast instead of yelling at them. Art is the cook who can make delicious food. After finishing breakfast, aunt Etta told them a whole story why they need to find child to this island.

   It was a true story that involves an issue of environmental protection. The founders of this island were trying to protect creation from being hurt by environmental pollution. After they died, they need somebody to continue doing their work, so the aunts went out to find the proper children. When reading here, I think of "An Inconvenient Truth". Maybe author wants to tell us the important of protecting our earth. So, the aunts started to tell them what to do and how to do chores. Though it is a fiction, figures' character those authors created are same as real people. My thought to these aunts is change because they are doing the great work. (I think)

This is a fantasy novel. The background of this story is happened in a hidden island where lives Aunt Etta, Aunt Coral, and Aunt Myrtle. They need to care other creatures who live on this island, but the adults can't be trust, so they get an idea that they can kidnap children who can keep secret. What an interesting thing is: some kids are planned to be kidnapped.

They leave the island to search for proper children. The first child called Minette, who was ten years old. Her parents were divorced, so she need to made journeys usually between London and Edinburgh where her dad and mom live. Etta is her aunt, and she prepare to kidnap Minette on the train by using sandwiches she made.

Aunt Coral is going to kidnap Hubert-Henry Mountjoy from his grandparents' London house. In the kidnapping process, the boy always look at her in an unfriendly expression.

Although I only read to chapter 2, it's story is very interesting that I am very happy I find a book I like to read so much.

A.Which ones of these methods are you already using? How do they work out for you? How's your experience compare with what Ruggiero (the author of the book) has to recommend?
 
1.Study efficiently:When I am study,I 'd choose my study time at night,espcially when I am studying major subjects.Also,I'd like to study alone in library because I need a quiet environment that can help me study more efficiently.
2.View frustrations as opportunities:In my growing process,I may not encounter such big frustrations as many adults.The frustrations I met is something about scores.We had many quiz and exam,sometimes I would get bad score,instead of sit there and complain how bad my score is,I will think about that maybe I use the wrong way in studying the subject and chang the way.the most important thing is:think that as an opportunity to advance.
3.Plan your days:I plan my days when I am busy.I will write down everything I need to do in these days,and plan them into everyday.In using this way,I can do things more quickly and efficiently.
 
B.Which ones looks interesting and promising enough that you are going to try out? What's your plan?

1.Chip away at big jobs:When I have a big task,I won't know which part I need to accomplish first.In this article,it mention:beeak the project or paper into a number of parts,and spend a little time on it every few days.It is such a simple method,but I never think about it.
2.Capture insight:I will keep a pencil and paper handy all the time,writing down any ideas I think or others say.It will improve my creation.
3.Keep a journal:It is a hardest thing I need to learn and turn it as an habit.I can write down the most important part in this class,after the class,add more knowledge into it and sort it.
 
C.
1.Taking notes is very important,but I always afraid I can't cach the most important prat of this class or speed,and the speed I take notes is slow.Is there a good way to improve that?
2.The stories in this article mention many creative thinking,but I think I don't have such a creation like them.Is there any way that can make my brain think more creatively?

I just begin reading this book.Beacuse last book is expired,I need to return to library.The background of this story is based on French Revolution.The story begins with passengers who were walking at a cold damp foggy night.A Dover mail is sent to Mr.Jarvis Lorry.(A Dover mail means a mail coach which carried letters.)I can't understand what the mail is telling about.After others leave,Mr.Lorry begins to doze,and each time he doze he dream that he was on the way to dig someone out of grave.In the next morning,Mr.Lorry meets Mrs.Manette and talking about her father.Her father have seemed to be disppeared and left her an orphan.
This is a brief context what I have read.I read a little,so I can't totally understand the whole story.I have read a sentence I don't understand.It says"If I were meant to cross salt water,do you think I'd born in an island."It is a good experience for me to read an original book and write a reading journal.Once I don't look up the dictionary,I can try to guess what words mean,and it is helpful for me to have more interest on reading original book.
