This time I choose this book because I had seen its movie. And I want to know more about this story.

Will is a man who didn't have to work because his father wrote a song and Will could live off the royalties. He spent his time do everything he liked such as watching videos, having a ride, dating girls. Marcus is a boy whose mother had melancholia and tried but failed to kill herself once. In his classmates' eye, he is a weirdo. Because he had once sung out loud in the class and then he started to had a hard time at school. They met because Will wanted to date single mom.

Will though that single is very attractive, so he imaged that he had a two-year-old son and joint a single parents' club. And that where he met a woman called Suzie who bring her friend's son Marcus to their first picnic. After that picnic Marcus though that if Will could went out with his mom then maybe his mom would be happier and would never commit a suicide anymore. So he started going to Will's house to persuade him go out with his mother. Though he had failed but he made Will concerned about other people's things and feelings. And Will had taught him how to fit in the school. At first, Will is very selfish and Marcus couldn't fit in other kids. And at the end of the story, both of them started to change. Will started to care for other's feeling. Marcus started to grow, learn to be like other kids.

The author use a funny way to tell this story that is why I like this story. I felt that Marcus is right about two people is not enough. He thought that if there is only he and his mom, that would be awful because he didn't knew how to comfort his mom and he need others advices. I think it's a great story and I will read it again soon.

I had finished five chapter. I think that Amir and Hassan's friendship can't last long because their class. Like Amir's father, he never refer Ali as his friend, though they grew up together. Amir never treated Hassan parity. I though Amir had a complicated feeling when he faced Hassan. He sometimes play a practical joke on Hassan, and after that he felt guilty and wanted to make up for him. He though he should be better in everything than Hassan, since he was in the higher class. So he played joke on Hassan's illiteracy. Maybe in his heart he was envy about Hassan. He didn't understand why his father seems to like Hassan more than him. His father even prepared a surgeon for Hassan to repair his harelip. He didn't want to share his father with Hassan.

He kept doing something bad on Hassan, but Hassan was still very loyal to him. It made him feel more ashamed and hate Hassan even more.

I didn't see the movie. I choose this book is beacuse I had read a few part about it and I want to finish it. But there is many new words in the story, so me have to read it very slowly.

1. Among those methods, I had tried is "plan your days" and "study efficiently". I always plan my days in a small notebook. I write down when should I study and what should I do. But every time I saw my notebook, I felt guilty because I seldom follow it. I know I can't get up early to study, so I always do the study work afternoon. I also know I'm easy to be distracted by other things, so I always found a library to study. A quiet place makes me more concentrated on my study.

2. I think the first I will tried in those methods is "keep a journal". Therefore I can not only know what I had done every day but also to check if I had followed my plan. The other is "take charge of your mind". I think I should concentrate on my study and make it more effect.

3. My question about this article. I know taking notes is a good way to keep concentrate. Except that, is there other way to keep concentrate?

I had seen this movie and I thought it is a beautiful movie. I love the way the director did in the movie. So I found this novel and want to know more about the character.

At the beginning of the story an old man walked through a passageway and entered a small room. It was an old lady's room. He stared at the lady's face. Though he knows it is forbidden, he still hopes to stay beside her. He left before the sun rose. The next morning, he sat beside the lady and started a talk. He told the lady a very toughing love story.

Noah fell in love with a beautiful girl whose name is Allie and was born in a rich family. They loved each other very much, but the girl' mother though that her daughter shouldn't love someone like Noah, beacause his family is not as rich as Allie's. Allie's mother forced Allie to leave the town Noah live. Noah could do nothing but let her go. He promised that he would write to her. Several years passed, Allie never received any letter from Noah. Her heart sunk and though Noah had totally forgotten her. At the time, Lon, a famous lawyer who had a bright future, love Allie and propose to her. But after Allie saw an news which is about a house, she decided to go back to the town to visit Noah.

After she saw Noah, every memory they had went back to her mind. She knew she just here to tell Noah that she was going to married, but deeply in her heart she still love him.

I have not finished yet. I think it is a very moving story, and I like it very much. But most of time when I read English novel, I can't felt anything. I always just read it, and know what the story goes. Maybe this time I had seen the movie first, so I like to read it and felt toughed.

ROBINSON CRUSOE

Robinson wanted to have some adventure though his father hoped that he could take over his business. He wanted to travel so when his friend offered an opportunity he accepted it. They were head to London. Robinson never travel by ship, he felt ill soon. Though they run into a storm, they still arrived in London luckily. He stayed in London and became a merchant. He sold things he brought with and made a fortune.

But he was not that luck this time. Their ship was chased by pirate and everyone was hurt or killed or capture by the pirate. The caption of the pirate captured Robinson and brought him back to his house. Robinson hoped to escape but he found no opportunity. Finally he had a chance and he escaped successfully. And he was rescued by a caption of a ship which was set for Brazil. After they arrived in Brazil, Robinson asked the caption to help him get the money he had saved in London back. And he started to run his own business in Brazil again.

But at his third voyage, their ship was overturned by the strong storm. He woke up in a small island and found that there was no other in this island. He had to live on his own. He investigated the whole island and found that it was isolated. Upset to know that, he still started to build a place to live, and though how to stay alive.

SHERLOCK HOLMES SHORT STORIES

I like the story about Holmes. I have not finished the book yet, but I read three short stories. The first one is about a man called Mr. Neville Saint Clair who liked to beg on the street. It's a secret. He never told his wife and his children. Every morning he left home and back in the evening. But one day his wife saw him in the second floor of a place that selling opium. His wife was very worried about him, so she called the police to search the place. But they found no one except a cripple who is begging on the street. And he claimed that there was no other in the room. So Mr. Neville Saint Clair just disappeared from the room. This is an interesting story. The first time I read the story I thought the man was killed. But after finishing the story I thought for a long time why Holmes could solve this problem. How could he figure out the whole thing?

I liked the first than the second and the third ones. The second story is about an engineer who was paid to do a strange job, and was almost made himself killed. The third one is about a murder. A doctor lived with a rich man who was always worried that he would be killed. And he was really killed by two men who were bank robbers. and so was the rich man.

I don't like to read on bus or any transportation. Because I think it's very uncomfortable. I like to read on my bed, though I have to wear glasses because of it. I can relax and listen to the music I like and read the stories I like. And I can easily grab a blanket when I was nervous to read the most horrible part.

I will finish the book quickly, because I always expect the next interesting story about Holmes.
