I think this book is very special, because the story is told by a horse. The book was called Black Beauty, because of the horse's name. He is a well-tempered and handsome horse. He was raised up by Grey when he was young. Grey was a good master and treated him well. Black Beauty's mother told him "Always be good so people will love you. " Then, he left his first home to work for Mr.Gordon. He also met new friends, Merrylegs and Ginger there. Ginger told him how her old master treated her. He reined her far tighter just to keep her head up and to make her look more fashionable. I thought that was cruel and human should treasure all the animals. The most impressive part in the pages I have read is Black Beauty saved his master's life. His master said "God made men so that they could find things out for themselves; but he made animals so that they could feel things, without thinking. In this way they have often saved men's lives."
