1. Important “Tools” to success in the 21^st Century

除個人專業之外，有用的”工具”還有語文(本國語、英語)、電腦及網路技能、發問的能力、思辨力、解決問題的能力、溝通能力。(你還能想到哪些? 紀律算不算一種能力?
2. Some important skills to good writing

a. Always revise and proof read before submitting your writing to anyone.

b. Apply your knowledge in grammar and English usage. Just knowing grammar rules is not enough. You must show your knowledge in your writing. If you are not sure about rules, look up.

c. One paragraph, one idea. The topic sentence usually is the first or the second sentence of the paragraph. All other sentences are there to explain, elaborate, exemplify.

d. Useful reference books: Write Source 2000: A Guide to Writing, Thinking and Learning. The BBI Dictionary of English Word Combinations.

3. Communication Tips

a. Clarity of message comes with clear utterance, good organization and proper reinforcement.

b. Proper use of multiple channels to convey your message.

c. Nonverbal message is often more powerful than verbal message.
