The three chapters I read were: The Ghost, Arithmetic and The Platinum-Blond Man

After the superglue episode, Matilda has a comparative calm week. Her father seems to lose his bad temper temporarily. Then he did the stupid thing again.

One day, he came back home with a dark face. Everything that annoyed him includes the thing that Matilda was sitting on the arm-chair reading quietly. He barked at her and ripped the pages out of the book. The author describes the scene vividly that I can almost imagine what it happened. Reading this novel also improve my writing skills such as how to use the most appropriate words to depict the events lively.

Matilda just devising another suitable plan to revenge what her father did. She borrowed a parrot and hid it with the cage into the chimney. In the evening, the parrot began to call. Both Mr. Wormwood and Mrs. Wormwood were afraid of the voice. And Matilda was glad to see her poisonous parents were scared to death.

The Arithmetic chapter is writing about Matilda is good at calculating numbers. I think this chapter has nothing special but inspire Matilda planning other punishment again. What's going on in the next chapter is that she exchanged her father's hair stuff to her mother's which makes Mr. Wormwood's hair not only terrible but also fewer and fewer.

On the whole, all the chapters I read until now keep writing what Matilda is a genius and how crazy her parents are. I expect what's going on next.
